What is a Favicon? A favicon is short for "favorites icon" or a page icon. A favicon is an icon that is associated with a particular website or webpage. Web browsers that support favicons might display them next to the site's name, in the bookmarks list, next to the title of the webpage, in a tab if tabbing is allowed, or also in the browser's URL navigation bar. This all depends on the type of web browser your are using.
How do I make a Favicon? Favicons have to be in .ico file format, so you will need to make a .ico file
- Create an image that is 16x16 pixels in size. It's small, but so is the actual size of your favicon. 32x32 should also work, but it will be scaled down to 16x16 in the file type conversion.
- Save your image with any desired name. It should be in .gif or .jpg format
- Go to this website
